Human Needs
Human basic needs, also known as physiological needs, refer to the fundamental requirements that individuals require to survive and maintain their well-being. These needs are often depicted in a pyramid or hierarchy, with each level representing a different category of needs. Here are the basic human needs:
1.Physiological Needs: These are the basic requirements for survival, such as food, water, air, shelter, clothing, and sleep.
2.Safety Needs: Once the physiological needs are met, safety needs become a priority, including physical safety, security, stability, order, and protection.
3.Love and Belonging Needs: Humans are social creatures, and thus, social needs are crucial to their well-being. These needs include love, affection, belonging, friendship, intimacy, and social interaction.
4.Esteem Needs: Once the social needs are met, humans begin to seek self-esteem, self-respect, confidence, achievement, recognition, and respect from others.
5.Self-Actualization Needs: These are the highest level of human needs, which involve personal growth, self-awareness, creativity, meaning, purpose, and fulfillment.
It is important to note that these needs are not absolute, and they can vary based on cultural and individual differences. Additionally, meeting these needs is not always straightforward and can be influenced by various factors, such as economic status, mental health, and social support.
